Shipping Options & Delivery Times

At Brinelume, every order is prepared with care. Some smaller ready-to-ship items are held in limited local stock in Adelaide, South Australia, while larger, wholesale, custom, private label, backordered or unavailable local-stock items are usually prepared and dispatched from China.

Our raw materials are sourced from the Himalayan region, and international delivery timeframes may vary depending on the shipping method, order size, destination and carrier schedule.

AU Adelaide local stock

Small ready-to-ship orders may dispatch from Adelaide within 1–3 business days.

CN China dispatch

Larger, custom, wholesale, private label and backordered orders are usually prepared and dispatched from China.

Sea Sea freight

Usually around 4–8 weeks after dispatch from China for non-remote Australian areas.

Air Air freight

Usually around 1–3 weeks after dispatch from China for non-remote Australian areas.

Before your order ships

We aim to make delivery information as clear as possible before your order is shipped. If your order is time-sensitive, for example for an event, gifting deadline, wedding, business launch, wholesale project or private label order, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss the most suitable option.

Order preparation

After your order is placed and payment has been received, orders are usually prepared within one week, provided the items are available and all required order details have been confirmed.

Small ready-to-ship orders held in our Adelaide stock are usually prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days after payment is received.

For larger, custom, wholesale, private label or backordered orders, preparation may take longer depending on the order quantity, packaging details, labelling requirements, production schedule and freight arrangements. If additional preparation time is required, we will contact you with an estimated timeframe.

Please note that order preparation time is separate from delivery or international shipping time.

Australian local delivery

Some smaller orders may be dispatched directly from Adelaide, South Australia, if the items are available in our local stock.

For ready-to-ship items dispatched within Australia, delivery usually takes approximately 2–7 business days after dispatch, depending on your location and the carrier service used.

Most non-remote Australian metro and suburban areas are generally delivered within one week after dispatch. Regional, remote and Western Australia deliveries may take longer.

Local Australian stock is limited and may not be available for all products, quantities or order types.

Orders dispatched from China

For products that are not available in our Adelaide stock, and for larger, wholesale, custom, private label or backordered orders, your order may be prepared and dispatched from China.

Our raw materials are sourced from the Himalayan region, and larger orders may require preparation, packing, freight coordination or international transport before final delivery to Australia.

Depending on the shipping option selected, your order can either be:

  • delivered to your nominated freight forwarder or receiving address within China; or
  • shipped internationally to Australia with freight arranged by Brinelume.

Delivery timeframes from China to Australia

For delivery to non-remote areas of Australia, estimated international transit times from China are usually:

Sea freight Approximately 4–8 weeks after dispatch from China.
Air freight Approximately 1–3 weeks after dispatch from China.

These timeframes are estimates only and apply under normal shipping conditions. Regional, remote or difficult-to-service locations in Australia may take longer.

Delivery timeframes may also be affected by freight schedules, customs clearance, port congestion, quarantine or inspection delays, public holidays, weather, carrier delays or other circumstances outside our direct control.

Shipping options for orders dispatched from China

For orders that need to be dispatched from China, you may choose one of the following shipping arrangements.

Option 1: Customer-arranged freight forwarder

You may choose to arrange your own freight forwarder or shipping agent.

If you choose this option, you will need to provide a valid receiving address within China, including the recipient name, phone number and any required delivery details.

Brinelume will deliver your order to the nominated address within China. You will only need to pay the domestic delivery cost within China.

Once the order has been delivered to your nominated freight forwarder, shipping agent or receiving address in China, any onward international freight arrangements should be managed directly between you and your chosen freight provider.

This includes international freight costs, customs clearance, import documentation, duties, taxes, insurance, storage fees and final delivery within Australia, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Please make sure the China receiving address and contact details are correct before submitting them. Brinelume is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or unavailable delivery information.

Option 2: Brinelume-assisted international shipping

You may also choose to have Brinelume assist with international shipping to Australia.

If you choose this option, we will review your order size, weight, destination and delivery requirements, then request available freight pricing for both sea freight and air freight where available.

Under normal circumstances, we will email you the available shipping options and prices within approximately one week after your order is placed or after all required order details have been confirmed.

The email will usually include:

  • available sea freight pricing;
  • available air freight pricing;
  • estimated delivery timeframes;
  • any important notes about the shipment; and
  • instructions for paying the selected shipping option online.

After receiving the shipping quote, you may choose the freight option that best suits your needs. Your order will be released for international dispatch once the selected shipping fee has been paid.

Freight prices may vary depending on carrier availability, shipment size, weight, destination, fuel costs, customs requirements and market conditions. Shipping quotes may only be valid for a limited time.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs depend on where your order is dispatched from and which shipping option applies.

For small ready-to-ship orders dispatched from Adelaide, Australian domestic shipping costs may be calculated at checkout where available.

For larger, wholesale, custom, private label or backordered orders dispatched from China, international shipping is usually quoted separately unless clearly stated otherwise.

If you arrange your own freight forwarder, Brinelume will only charge the domestic delivery cost required to send your order to the nominated address within China.

If Brinelume assists with international shipping, we will email you the available sea freight and air freight options, together with the relevant pricing. You can then select your preferred shipping method and pay the shipping fee online before dispatch.

Unless expressly included in your shipping quote, any customs duties, GST, import taxes, inspection fees, quarantine fees, port charges, storage fees, insurance, redelivery fees or local delivery charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Tracking

Where tracking is available, tracking details will be provided after your order has been dispatched or lodged with the relevant carrier.

For orders dispatched from Adelaide, tracking details will be provided once the parcel has been lodged with the Australian carrier, where available.

For customer-arranged freight from China, we may provide tracking or delivery confirmation for the domestic delivery within China where available. Any onward international tracking should be provided by your nominated freight forwarder.

For Brinelume-assisted international shipping, tracking updates will depend on the carrier and shipping method selected. Please note that sea freight tracking may update less frequently than air freight tracking.

Please allow time for tracking links or shipment milestones to update after the parcel or shipment has been lodged.

Customs, import requirements and delivery responsibility

Orders dispatched within Australia from Adelaide generally do not require international customs clearance.

Orders dispatched from China to Australia may be subject to customs clearance, import checks, quarantine inspection or other import requirements.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery details are accurate and that the goods can be imported to the destination address. Where Brinelume assists with international shipping, we will provide reasonable support with shipment information and documentation available to us.

If you use your own freight forwarder, please discuss customs clearance, documentation, duties, taxes, insurance and final delivery directly with your chosen freight provider before confirming the shipment.

Larger, wholesale, custom and private label orders

Larger, wholesale, custom or private label orders may require additional preparation time before dispatch.

This may include product preparation, packaging, labelling, private label requirements, carton packing, pallet preparation, export documentation or coordination with your nominated freight forwarder.

These orders are usually prepared and dispatched from China unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

If your order requires additional time or special handling, we will contact you with an estimated preparation and shipping plan.

For time-sensitive projects, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss whether your preferred delivery deadline is realistic.

Mixed orders

If your order includes both Adelaide ready-to-ship items and items that need to be prepared or dispatched from China, we may either:

  • ship the available Adelaide stock first;
  • hold the order and ship everything together once all items are ready; or
  • arrange separate shipments depending on the order size and delivery requirements.

If you have a preference, please contact us after placing your order.

Additional shipping costs may apply if you request split shipments.

Delivery delays

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. However, we will always do our best to keep you updated where there is a meaningful delay.

Delays may occur due to stock availability, raw material availability, production schedules, freight capacity, sea freight schedules, air freight schedules, customs clearance, port delays, carrier delays, public holidays, weather events or other circumstances outside our direct control.

If we are unable to supply or dispatch your order within a reasonable timeframe, we will contact you to discuss suitable options, which may include continuing with the order, changing the shipping method, adjusting the order, splitting the shipment, or cancelling and refunding the affected items where appropriate.

Incorrect shipping details

Please check all shipping details carefully before submitting them.

This includes your Australian delivery address, China receiving address, contact name, phone number, freight forwarder details and any special delivery instructions.

Brinelume is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery information provided by the customer.

Time-sensitive orders

If your order is needed by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order.

This is especially important for weddings, events, gifting deadlines, business openings, wholesale launches, private label projects or seasonal promotions.

We can help you review available stock and shipping options, but we cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date unless this has been expressly confirmed in writing.
